Manisa provinces Soma district in western Turkey.Mustafa Akın, the village headman of Yirca, wept for the cut down trees live on TV while on air speaking to CNN Turk. How will they be able to eat olives and olive oil after what they have done to those trees!? said Mr Akın while shedding tears.
