Kaza saat 00.30'da Bayrampaşa O-3 TEM Bağlantı Yolu Sağmalcılar Viyadüğü'ne 100 metre kala meydana geldi. Edinilen bilgiye göre, üzerinden kimlik çıkmayan yabancı uyruklu bir kişiye, yolun karşısına geçmek istediği sırada bir araç çarptı. Çarpmanın etkisiyle yola savrulan adam olay yerinde yaşamını yitirdi. Çarpan otomobil ise kayıplara karıştı. POLİS OLAY YERİNDE DELİL TOPLADIKaza sonrası polis ekipleri ceset ve olay yerinde inceleme yaptı; çevrede delil topladı. İncelemenin ardından da adamın cansız bedeni kaza yerine çağırılan cenaze aracıyla Adli Tıp Kurumu morguna kaldırıldı. Polis kazayla ilgili soruşturma başlatırken, kayıplara karışan otomobil sürücüsünü bulmak için de çalışma başlattı.
